MARS

could use a 3D Printer….am I right? I’ve been listening to The Martian by Andy Weir on audio book as I drive to work every morning and I love it!  But I can’t help but think that 3D printing on Mars could be game changing. Think about it, the ability to make anything on demand like tools, medical equipment, electronics could really be a game changer for space travel. Or what about the ability to 3D print an entire Habitat on Mars? I can imagine 3D printing probes that land on Mars and begin printing sturdy habitats that could later be occupied by teams of scientists. Also, I totally would love to go to Mars, well assuming I can pack my Ultimaker with me.  Anyway, welcome to my first blog post! I’m really excited about embarking on this journey to document my great 3D Printing Expedition.
I’ve made it my personal mission to take the ideas in my head and get them designed and then share them with you here. Every month we will release a new “idea” that I’m proud of calling my own design.  Heck, I’ll even let you download the printable files…totally free, I just ask if you do, please share your printing experience with us, give us some feedback if you liked it, hated it, whatever, and definitely take a photo and post it. It’s kind of like that little toy in the cereal box you couldn’t wait to get your hands on. Sidenote, did anybody else perhaps find it so irresistible to get that silly toy perhaps empty said cereal box in order to get that little plastic trinket? I know I have, can you believe they used to package those toys inside with the cereal? I think eventually they got smart and started gluing the toys to the side wall of the cereal box, much more sanitary and kept mom happy as we weren’t dumping out the cereal box every time.
